Seating tables

A 60" round comfortably seats eight guests (you can squeeze ten for a shorter event). For 100 seated guests: 100 ÷ 8 ≈ 13 round tables. For a drop-in open house where not everyone sits at once, ten tables plus cocktail tables often works beautifully.

Don't forget the working tables

• 1–2 buffet tables for the food line
• 1 table for desserts or cake
• 1 table for gifts, cards, and the sign-in book
• 4–5 cocktail tables for standing and drinks

Leave room to move

Allow about 10 feet between table centers so guests and servers can pass comfortably. Under a 20×40 tent, thirteen rounds is a full, lively layout — if it feels tight, trim seating and lean on cocktail tables.

Seated guests ÷ 8 = round tables · then add two buffet, one dessert, one gift, and a few cocktail tables.
