Kais Party Rentals LLC ("Kai's Party Rentals," "we," "us," or "our") operates kaispartyrentals.com (the "Site") and provides event rental equipment and related services in the Metro Detroit area. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it in our marketing, and the choices you have.

By using the Site or requesting a quote, you agree to the practices described here.

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Terms of Use.

1. Data Sharing

Customer data is not shared with 3rd parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
Mobile opt-in and consent are never shared with anyone for any purpose. Any information sharing that may be mentioned elsewhere in this policy excludes mobile opt-in data.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you request a quote, book a rental, contact us, or subscribe to updates, we may collect:

Name and business or organization name
Email address and phone number
Event date, event start and end times
Delivery address and venue details
Event type, guest count, and equipment selections
Notes, questions, and any other details you choose to share
Billing information and payment details (processed by our payment provider — see Section 4)

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

IP address and approximate location (city/region level)
Browser type, device type, and operating system
Pages viewed, time on page, referring URL, and exit pages
Clicks, scroll depth, and quote-builder interactions
Cookie and similar identifiers (see Section 5)

Information from third parties

We may receive information from advertising and analytics platforms (such as Google and Meta), and from venues or event partners who refer you to us.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Prepare and send quotes, and respond to your inquiries
Confirm reservations, schedule delivery, and coordinate setup and pickup
Process payments, deposits, and refunds
Communicate about your rental, including weather-related updates and delivery timing
Send marketing emails and text messages where you have opted in
Measure and improve our advertising, including retargeting site visitors
Maintain records, resolve disputes, and enforce our rental agreements
Improve the Site, our services, and our inventory planning
Comply with legal, tax, and insurance obligations

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share customer data with third parties for their own promotional or marketing purposes.

Mobile opt-in and SMS consent are excluded from all sharing described in this section and are never shared with anyone for any purpose.

Subject to that exclusion, we share information only as follows:

Service providers. Companies that help us run the business, including:

Website hosting and infrastructure providers
Customer relationship and project management software
Email delivery platforms
Payment processors (we do not store full card numbers on our systems)
Analytics and advertising platforms
Accounting, insurance, and legal advisors

Delivery and event partners. Where needed to fulfill your rental, such as venue staff, subcontracted crews, or partner rental companies supplying equipment for your event.

Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, property, or the safety of any person.

Business transfers. If we sell or transfer all or part of the business, your information may transfer as part of that transaction.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

The Site uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for essential functionality, analytics, and advertising.

We use or may use:

Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site
Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing to measure ad performance and show ads to prior visitors
Meta Pixel for advertising measurement and retargeting on Facebook and Instagram

You can control cookies through your browser settings. You can also opt out of certain advertising through:

Do Not Track. The Site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.

6. Marketing and Advertising Practices

We want to be specific about how your information is used in our marketing, because this is where most of our data handling happens.

Lead capture. When you submit a quote request or contact form, your responses — including event date, guest count, venue, and equipment selections — are transmitted to our customer relationship and project management systems, where they are stored as a lead record and used to prepare your quote and follow up with you.

Follow-up communications. If you start a quote and do not complete it, or submit a request and do not book, we may follow up by email or phone about that inquiry. You can ask us to stop at any time.

Email marketing. We send promotional emails only to people who have opted in or who have previously requested a quote or rented from us. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, which we honor promptly.

Advertising audiences. We may upload hashed email addresses to advertising platforms — including Google Customer Match and Meta Custom Audiences — so we can show ads to past and prospective customers, or exclude them from certain campaigns. These identifiers are hashed before upload, are used only to match against existing platform accounts, and are not used by those platforms to build profiles for other advertisers. Mobile numbers collected for SMS are never included in these uploads.

Lookalike and similar audiences. We may ask advertising platforms to build audiences of people with characteristics similar to our customers. This uses aggregate patterns, not your individual identity.

Retargeting. If you visit the Site, you may later see our ads on Google, YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram. This is based on cookies and pixels, not on personally identifying information we provide.

Conversion measurement. We record when a Site visit leads to a quote request or booking so we can measure which ads and keywords work. This may include sending hashed identifiers back to advertising platforms for attribution.

Reviews and testimonials. We may ask you for a review after your event. If you provide a testimonial or photos, we may use them in marketing with your permission. Tell us at any time if you want a testimonial removed.

What we do not do. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your contact information with other rental companies, vendors, or lead brokers for their own marketing.

Unsubscribing from marketing email does not affect email about an active reservation, which we will continue to send. SMS opt-out is handled separately and is described in our Terms of Use.

7. Data Retention

We keep information only as long as needed to serve you and to meet our legal, tax, insurance, and accounting obligations.

Quote requests that do not convert: [2] years
Reservation, contract, and payment records: [7] years after the event date
Incident, injury, and property damage records: [10] years, or longer where a claim may still be brought
Marketing contact information: until you unsubscribe or request deletion
Mobile numbers and SMS consent records: until you opt out, plus [4] years to document that consent was obtained and honored
Analytics data: per the retention settings of the platform collecting it

8. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message
Opt out of texts by replying STOP
Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your information, subject to records we must keep for legal or contractual reasons

California residents. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act may give you additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. 9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

The Site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at hello@kaispartyrentals.com and we will delete it.

11. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party websites, including venues, vendors, and social media. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their policies separately.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
