Frequently asked questions
Is there a minimum order for delivery?
Yes — free delivery starts at a $350 order. If your order comes in under $350 we'll still take care of you; we'll just reach out separately to work out a delivery fee. Outside our 10-mile free zone, delivery is a flat $100 from 10 to 20 miles, and quoted case by case beyond 20 miles.
Do you set up and take down?
Yes on packages — delivery, setup, and takedown are all included, and we clean up after ourselves. On à la carte orders, delivery is free within 10 miles and tents always include setup and takedown; if you'd like us to set up and arrange your tables and chairs too, add White Glove Setup for $100.
What is your service area?
We're based in Sterling Heights and deliver throughout northern Macomb County and nearby communities, from Romeo and Washington Township down through Sterling Heights and Clinton Township, and west to Rochester and Troy. Delivery is free within 10 miles on orders of $350 or more, a flat $100 from 10 to 20 miles, and quoted case by case beyond that.
Are you insured?
Yes, Kai's Party Rentals is fully insured. We're happy to provide documentation your venue or property may require.
How many guests can you accommodate?
Our inventory comfortably seats up to 100 guests, with 100 resin folding chairs and twelve 60-inch round tables, set under one or more of our linked high-peak tents.
What happens if it rains?
Our high-peak tents are built for Michigan weather, so events are rain or shine. We recommend adding sidewalls for full wind and rain protection. If severe weather is forecast, reach out at least 48 hours ahead and we'll reschedule whenever our inventory allows.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel 14 or more days before your event for a full deposit refund. Within 14 days, your deposit is non-refundable but transferable to a rescheduled date within 12 months, subject to availability.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A 50% deposit reserves your date and equipment, and the balance is due 7 days before your event. You can pay the deposit when you confirm your booking.
What do I need to have ready?
A level grass area with clearance on all sides and access for our team. We'll go over the details once we confirm your setup.
How far ahead should I book?
We book up to 12 months out and recommend reserving early, especially for graduation season. Start a quote to check availability for your date.
